Definition: To claim without right

The Spanish Conquistadors are notorious for arrogating the land of the Aztecs

Substantiate

(v.) to establish by evidence, prove; to give concrete or substantial form to

Chase, Cameron, and Forman have to substantiate their evidence in order for Dr. House to agree to their diagnosis.

Germane

(adj.) relevant, appropriate, apropos, fitting

Belief in the rights of the individual is germane to the addition of the Bill of Rights to the U.S Constitution.

ENCOMIUM (N.)A formal expression of praise, a lavish tribute

Ex. The ritual of the Green Bay Packers fans is an encomium to both the players and their state product.
