Background
She lived a life devoted to gaining full freedom for blacks in the late 19th and early 20th century.

I woke up one morning, thinking about a lost friend.It all happened 40 years agowhen I was only 10. I decidedto write a story about it, and when I did, tears were falling down on the paper all the time.
