Scene Oliver Twist's birth & Ms Mann's house Oliver Twist's birth:

- Oliver was born in workhouse. when he was born He found it difficult to breathe.

- His mother was ill and weak. After Oliver 's birth, she asked to see her new baby. She kissed him on the cheek and smiled, then she died.

- The doctor asks the nurse about mother’s name but The doctor and nurse didn’t know mother’s name because she died when Oliver was born.

Ms Mann's house:

- The baby was sent to live with other orphans in an old house nearby with Mrs. Mann.

- Mrs. Mann was the woman who looked after the orphans in the old house.

- The orphans suffered a lot and didn’t find enough food to eat with Mrs. Mann because Mrs.

Mann was a dishonest woman as she took part of the orphans' money to herself.

Mr. Bumble at Ms Mann's house:

- Mr. Bumble was an official from the workhouse

- When Oliver was nine years old, Mr. Bumble came to take Oliver to the workhouse Because he was old enough to work.

- Oliver was very sad to leave his friends and the only home he had ever known. Oliver was not sad to leave Mrs. Mann.

Scene Living at the workhouse

Oliver Twist at the workhouse:

- the manager in the workhouse told Oliver that he was very lucky to work there .he would get food and a bed for nothing

- At the workhouse Oliver was shocked when he saw the boys as they were thin and wore old clothes.

- Oliver and the other boys were given little food, only thin soup, to eat and when the boys were so close to starving

- his life was very hard so children made a plan that they would ask more food and Choose Oliver to do that.

Asking for more food &The punishment:

- When Oliver asked for more food from the master who became furious. So he grabbed him from his arm and took him to the manager of workhouse.

- They decided to punish him through: - Mr Bumble hit Oliver in front of the boys at the time of food They locked him in a dark room alone. The managers at the workhouse were not happy with Oliver and said he had to leave. They put a message on the door say anyone could take the boy get five pounds

- they punish him to stop anyone to ask for more food

the advertisement:

- Mr. Sowerberry is a coffin maker (undertaker).

- Mr. Sowerberry read the advertisement and decided to take Oliver because He needs an apprentice to work with him. He wants to get five pounds.

Fight with Noah:
