- Oliver was born in workhouse. when he was born He found it difficult to breathe.

- His mother was ill and weak. After Oliver 's birth, she asked to see her new baby. She kissed him on the cheek and smiled, then she died.

- The doctor asks the nurse about mother’s name but The doctor and nurse didn’t know mother’s name because she died when Oliver was born.

Ms Mann's house:

- The baby was sent to live with other orphans in an old house nearby with Mrs. Mann.

- Mrs. Mann was the woman who looked after the orphans in the old house.

- The orphans suffered a lot and didn’t find enough food to eat with Mrs. Mann because Mrs.

Mann was a dishonest woman as she took part of the orphans' money to herself.

Mr. Bumble at Ms Mann's house:

Oliver Twist at the workhouse:

Oliver ’s life was very hard (unbearable)with(Mrs. Mann- Mr. Sowerberry–in workhouse) because They treat him cruelly (unkindly). The food wasn’t enough. (he ate thin soup) He didn’t go to school. The bed wasn’t comfortable. He always worked hard. The clothes were old and wide

Scene Living at the Mr. Sowerberry's house Oliver Twist at the Mr. Sowerberry's house:

- Mr Sowerberry’s objection about Oliver and Mrs Sowerberry complain because He was very small and weak . He would cost them money to feed him.

- Mr and Mrs Sowerberry treat Oliver Unkindly as they gave him old food and he slept in strange, dark room Surrounded by unfinished coffins.

- Noah Claypole was apprentice for Mr Sowerberry. He was a tall boy with a red nose. He was jealous oliver so he always called him workhouse boy.

- Mr and Mrs Sowerberry prefer Noah to Oliver they asked Noah to have breakfast with them by the fire and gave olive old food to have in shop so Oliver objected

- Mr Sowerberry was pleased with Oliver's work.

Fight with Noah:

- Once Noah asked Oliver about his mother Oliver said she died of a broken heart .

- But Noah insulted (made fun of) his mother. Noah said that Oliver’s mother died because she wasn’t good at anything.

- Oliver felt ashamed and angry. So Oliver hit Noah hard.

- Mr and Mrs Sowerberry keep Oliver away of Noah and locked him in a dark cellar. Then they send Noah to bring Mr Bumble to Punish Oliver.

Mr Bumble at the Mr. Sowerberry's house:

- Oliver wasn’t afraid of Mr Bumble.

- Mr Bumble said They gave him much meat .

- Mr Bumble asked them to leave him in this cellar without food for a few days, then feed him only soup.

- The door wasn’t lock so he could run away from Mr Sowerberry's house to London because his life was unbearable.
