Successful Idents...

This is an ident for an E4 game show

The ident has relevance towhat the TV show Is aboutand also the man is central to the original image.

I think this is a successfulident because the man has been splashed and the identis in a splashed shape toowhich shows the identsupports the clip.

This is a BBC one summer ident. It doesn’t have a relevant show but has a relevant season. The ident is clearly shown in the central of the original image and as you can see the ident is also in the top of left corner of the screen. This is good because the more it is shown the more popular it becomes. It is shown between TV programmes so you know when the start and the end is. I think this is a successful ident as it clearly shows the ident and there isn’t much animation to distract the viewer from the ident.

This is christmas ident for BBC onethe clip that goes with the ident hasrelevance as it is very christmasy

Although there is a theme to the cllipthe ident is still clearly shown in the centre of the page so that it is clearto everyone.

I think this Is a successful ident because it has relevance the identis still very clearly shown even thoughit has a good clip with it, it is good to have a clear ident so that theviewers don’t just take noticeof the clip and actually notice the ident.

This is a chat show TV ident. I think it is successful because it has bright lights around it and is very clear to see. Although there is a man on the screen the attention from the viewer isn’t drawn to much towards him because the ident is so big.

Another reason why I think it is successful is because it has relevance to the TV show that is about to be seen. Chat shows usually quite big and the fact that it has big lights around it shows that it maybe be dramatic or entertaining.

Overall I think this is a successful TV ident because it has relevance and it is very clearly shown.

Unsuccessful Idents...

I think this is an unsuccessful TV ident because it has no relevance to the TV channel or show.

Also the ident is being covered by a birthday cake which can draw the viewers attention towards that and not the ident

To make this ident more successful I would of made it so the background wasn’t as big and the ident bigger and more noticeable. This way the viewers attention would be more focused on the ident.

Also the ident doesn't follow goo screen limitations as it is not central to the screen and in the actual clip it is more to the right of the screen, so some viewers with small TV’s may not be able to see the whole picture.

Overall I think the ident isn’t successful even though its brightly coloured and eye catching, the actual ident itself isn’t big enough and has no relevance to the channel or show. The fact that it doesn't have good screen limitations also makes it unsuccessful.

I think this is an unsuccessful TV ident as it is aimed at children but as you can see the ident is very boring. For children this might not be eye catching and maybe bore them which can lead to there channel having less viewers.

Although the ident can be clearly seen it also has no sort of relevance to the TV channel or show. The colours are also very boring and its just not that interesting.

Overall I think this is an unsuccessful ident as it is boring and has nothing to do with what the channel is about.
