2. Review: Doubling Rule The final consonant letter doubles

When a suffix that starts with a vowel is added to a word that fits the 1-1-1 rule○ (one syllable, one vowel, one consonant at the

end)

○ Examples:Stop + ed = StoppedStop + ing = StoppingHop + ing = Hopping
