GOALS OF THE DAY

1. I can explain the importance of Working Papers, and why they need to be completed by minors and issued by the minor’s school.

2. I can describe what type of information will be asked of me when I complete a Job Application (paper or on-line.)

3. I will understand who would make a good Reference for my application.

4. I will be able to explain why I need to complete a federal form W-4 when I get a job.

Working Papers is a document required to be completed for all children under 18 years of age who work in NJ; issued by minor’s school.•Required by Child Labor Law•Regulates • Wages (minimum wage)• Hours• Working conditions

not interfere with a student’s education, or• damage a student’s health

Guidance counselors, teachers, and clergy make good references.)
