We will be going over some orthopedic key terms; definitions, abbreviations, spelling etc…

First Back to the basics of transcription in regards to operative reports.

Keep in mind when the doctor says “same” for the postoperative you are to type what he/she stated in the preoperative.

For example:

POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Cervical disk disease with progressive radiculopathy.
