In partnership with the United Nations International Office for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), the Major Group of Children and Youth (MGCY) along with member organisations Youth Beyond Disasters and the International Federation for Medical Students Association invites you to attend the UNISDR Youth Workshop and the following 2nd Preparatory Committee Meeting (PrepCom2) for the 3rd World Congress for Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR), held at the Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland on 17 to 18 November 2014. Make your voice heard! The results of PrepCom2 will lead to the 3rd World Congress for Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan in March 2015.

UNISDR YOUTH WORKSHOPINNOVATIVE IDEAS & CAPACITIES FOR CHANGE
The UN Major Group for Children & Youth (MGCY) in collaboration with the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) warmly invites you, children and youth worldwide, to our UNISDR Youth Workshop “innovative Ideas & Capacities For Change”, November 14th - 16th 2014, Geneva Switzerland.
The workshop is a preparation event for the Second Session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom2) for the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR), November 17th - 18th 2014, Geneva Switzerland. The outcome of the Youth Workshop will feed directly into the PrepCom2 negotiations and later into the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan in March 2015.
Youth Beyond Disasters is a worldwide network of youth. Our mission is to inspire and facilitate youth-led conversations on disasters, to mobilize children and youth to contribute to high level meetings, and to support them to create action plans that bring local and global change.
If you or anyone in your collective networks, 30 years of age or under, would like to join us to tackle one of the largest global issues, please register via the link below or get in touch via email.
