Symptoms of depression
Depressed mood most of the day Diminished interest and pleasure Loss of appetite Eating excessively Lack of concentration Psychomotor agitation or retardation Fatigue Feelings of worthlessness Lack of concentration – indecisiveness Recurrent thoughts of death Distress or impairment in social, occupational
functioning
Can’t be accounted for by other physiological factors
No bereavement involved.
Dysthymic disorder
Fewer milder symptoms
