OGettysburg was an important victory for the North because it was such a great defeat for the South.

OAs for the Southerners they were basically on defense the rest of the battle , they were just being attacked .

O After the great victory from the Union , President Abraham Lincoln gave his great speech the Gettysburg Address .

O This was a very important speech because the world noted at once what he said, and will never cease to remember it.

O The speech was more important than the battle itself !
