Saint Pius community. My goals this year is to
build our academic excellence and strengthen our
relationship with our church and parent community.
We are working hard to make this the best school in East Dallas and the

Mrs.Scott says…Welcome Back to School! The administrative staff and teachers are so excited to
be back and begin another great year here at Saint Pius X. Along with great things happening, we have sev-
eral new faces here and are delighted to have them join our staff. Their expertise, experience and enthusi-
asm will be just another
additional plus for SPX!
Our Pre-K program is growing and showed great success last year and we are looking forward to watching
these little ones grow throughout their years here. All the teachers have spent their summer working on
plans and attending workshops and training to better serve our students. They are anxious to get started!
As always, we thank you for your continued support and confidence in educating your child (ren). We will
continue to strive for academic excellence.
Ms. Wahlstrom says…
Welcome back everyone… really
looking forward to an
exciting new school year. We have
some great things happening in
technology this year. Smart boards
and document cameras are going in
some of our classrooms. Teachers
have gone to trainings over the
summer and are excited to share
what they have learned with the
students. We also have a new
Mobile Lab – or our C.O.W.
(Computers On Wheels) Cart
loaded with brand new laptops that
the teachers will be able to check
out and take into their classrooms.
The PK-1st grade classes will
integrate the use of iPads on a
daily bases – each class will be
equipped with 5 iPads for the
students to use. Our 2nd – 6th
grade classrooms will have a
desktop computer for student use.
Last but not least!! We have brand
new computers in our computer lab
that is open for all of our students
to use. SPX Tigers are technology
ready.
