Los pronombresa pronoun replaces a noun
¿Cuál es un OBJETO DIRECTO?
the person or thing in a sentence that receives the action of the verb.
I eat a sandwich for lunch. What do I eat? --a sandwich
Are we eating dinner now? What are we eating?--dinner
Answers the question “¿Quién?” o “¿Qué?” Usually it’s a thing, but it
can be a person.
Direct Object Pronouns (DOP’s)
•Me-me•Te-you•lo/la-it/him/her
•Nos-us
•los/las-them, you all
Yo tengo el itinerario.Yo tengo what?
Direct Objects come AFTER the verb.
el itinerario
BUT…
Yo lo tengo.Yo tengo what?
Direct Object Pronouns come BEFORE the verb.
lo (el itinerario)
I have it.
1) DOP’s must agree with the noun they replace
2) DOP’s go before the conjugated verb in the sentence
3) When in the negative, the “no” goes
before the DOP (which is right before the conjugated verb)
