INSTALLATIONMETHODFirstly, apply tape to wall/floorjoint, corners and places wheremembrane edges meet. Themembrane is applied to wallsand floor, followed by sealingthe joints with a skeleton gun.It may be preferred to apply tofloors only, dressing up wallsby 100mm only, then tankingthe walls with the tanking kit.This overcomes the tile loadinglimitation.

■ Used to provide a flexible water-proof membrane (tanking) beforetiling over with a flexible bag-pow-der (cementitious) tile adhesive.

■ Proven over 25 years, a 2-coatapplication will protect even when cracks up to 1mm open inthe substrate.

■ Will cover any substrate, but useprimer over timber, plasterboardor any porous surface.

■ Non-toxic, clean brushes in water.■ Can be trowelled, but will cover

7m2 by brush or roller.

INSTALLATION METHOD1 Prime the substrate if porous.

Primer G is water-based and canbe thinned to produce 2 litres.Allow to dry.

2 Apply first coat of Lastogum X inone direction only. Start high inthe corner of the wall, bedding a1.7m length of tape into the firstcoat. Complete the wall area.

Apply pre-formed corner in place, then more tapeinto wall/floor joint, overbrushing as you go.Use pipe collars for coppershower-supply pipes. Allowto dry overnight or may beoverbrushed after 3 hours.

3 Apply second coat ofLastogum X in the oppositedirection (ie: at 90 degrees).

Note: Fully compatible with all electric underfloor heatingsystems laid over the tankingmembrane.

Our underfloor heating comprises a500mm wide mat system with self-adhesive backing. Rated160W/m2, 3.5mm thick and perfectfor use as full regular room heating.For timber and concrete sub-floors,usually installed beneath tiling. Twin conductor elements give verylow electromagnetic fields andrequire connection at one end only.To ensure electrical safety the cable isearthed using a metallic screen andmay be laid directly in the wet areafor luxurios showering.Includes floor sensor and digital thermostat with 7-day, 24-hour timerwith up to four on/off settings perday.

800 Linear Drainage

A wetroom can be fitted anywhere in any building, even an attic or basement, with the aid of a pump toassist drainage. A wetroom is usuallylevel access (totally flat floor) butcan be raised or sunk below floorlevel.This is the ideal time to reconsiderthe heating options for the wetroomarea. You may be happy with radiators in an existing bathroom.

Consider underfloor heating, eitherconnecting water pipes to an existingsystem or using new electric underfloor heating. Both will requireinsulated tile backer board below toprevent heat migtrating downwards.A key benefit of our system is thatyou only need to waterproof the ‘wet area’, not the entire wetroom orbathroom. This reduces costs to athird of usual levels.

Note: All references to tileadhesive are flexible powdertype - NEVER use ready-mixed adhesives inbathrooms and wetrooms.Tools required:Jigsaw or circular saw, powerdrill, spirit level, screwdriver,50mm screws. Hammer andchisel (for concrete). Also youmay need silicone, flexible tileadhesive, mixing paddle, bucket and timber noggins.

Run a spirit level over the floor togain a general idea of the levels. The MAXXUS slope is only 2%, soanything out of level will cause

pooling. It may be fitted straightover joists or packed with plastic ortimber packers over the length of ajoist to avoid single point loading.

As an option, it may be laid ona bed of flexible tile adhesiveor mortar to take up misalignment in the floor or toraise to a higher level. Suitablefor vinyl or tiled flooring.
