World Health Day This World Health Day, register for Unicef’s Day for Change. Our fantastic new teaching resources will not only teach your pupils about the transformative power of nutrition, but also inspire them to raise vital funds to help malnourished children. Easter egg hunt Everyone loves an Easter egg hunt, and it’s easy to hold one at your school. Ask everyone to donate a £1 entry fee, and help protect children in danger this Easter. You could get parents involved by holding a raffle to win an extra special (large!) egg too. Let their voices be heard! Celebrate Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and mark World Voice Day by having a debating competition. Let your pupils decide which topics they would like to debate, and invite relatives and friends to come and watch. Clearly label a collection jar and ask everyone to donate a coin to help those children whose voices are not being heard. International Astronomy Day International Astronomy Day is the perfect day for looking up at the stars and making a wish. Why not ask your pupils to draw their own stars and include a wish for the world’s children? Ask everyone to display their stars around the classroom and donate a coin to help keep children safe. Come dine with ... ... Your colleagues! Don’t leave all the activity to your students – why not arrange a cooking or baking competition for staff? Ask competitors to contribute £2, and the winner can keep half the pot, with the rest donated to Unicef.
