In this small brochure we will provide you with some information to make your life easier at BTW 2019. Who can I contact if there are technical or logistical problems? Where can I have lunch during the one-hour break? Where can I find which lecture rooms, computer rooms for de-monstrations, PC pools for hands-on tutorials, meeting rooms for committee meetings? How do I get from the conference venue to the city centre or to the evening events? And where can I find the conference proceedings and other materials for the conference?We would like to answer the first question right here in this preface: if you have organisa-tional questions, a beamer does not work, an HDMI cable is missing, you cannot find the lecture room, then please contact our Orga team, which you can recognize from the front by the wine red T-shirts matching the colour of the Konrad Zuse Building. If you approach them from behind, the membership to the Orga Team is even more visible.

CANTEEN (MENSA)
In the lunch breaks you can go to the award-winning Mensa (canteen) on the Südstadt-Campus. The Konrad Zuse Building is located at the blue position, the Mensa at the red position in the following map.
For Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the conference materials already contain canteen cards that you can use for any main course, dessert and drink. If you are a student, also a doctoral student with a research position, you can show your student ID card. With this, you are supporting the conference budget - and thus the organizing „Fachbereich DBIS“ (the German SIGMOD) of the GI. By the way, it could be full on Tuesday, there will be a parallel event in the physics building.

FREITAG NACHMITTAGMORE RESTAURANTS, USB STICK, WLAN
Alternatives to the Mensa can be found in the surroundings of the Südstadt-Campus.
Further information can be found on our website. The sections „Travel information“ and „Venue“ also contain detailed information on public transport in Rostock. Under Downloads and the BTW-2019-USB-Stick you will find also timetable excerpts of the public transport, the network map of the public transport as well as the mensa menus, besides the conference proceedings and the programme brochure.
WLAN is available in the conference buildings. If you use Eduroam, you should have seam-less wireless Internet access. If you do not have Eduroam, you can get an A4 sheet with access data for WLAN guest access from the conference office.

All conference rooms are located in the Konrad Zuse Building (Institute for Computer Sci-ence, blue position) and in the adjacent lecture hall building of the Physics Institute (red position).
The lecture hall HS1 is located in the physics building. It is used for all plenary sessions and some parallel events, especially in the mornings from Wednesday to Friday. The following plan shows the lecture hall framed in red just behind the entrance, which is on the lower right.

The ground floor of the Konrad Zuse Building contains the atrium (conference office in green, cloakroom, coffee breaks, get together, poster exhibition, sponsor exhibition), the lecture hall 037 and the seminar room 001. Toilets are marked in blue, a handicapped ac-cessible toilet is directly opposite. The staircase with elevator can be seen on the lower right.

The seminar rooms 101, 110 and the meeting room 116 for committee and working group meetings are located on the first floor.

The demonstration program takes place on the second floor in rooms 210 (entrance) to 208, the restricted hands-on tutorials in PC-Pool 219. There is a zone door on the corridor in front of room 219. You can open it by pressing the „Open door (= Tür öffnen)“ button positioned on the wall and then manually pulling the door.

The conference venue, the Konrad Zuse Building (blue position), can be reached by bus or tram in approx. 15 minutes from the city centre or the main railway station. The tram lines 4 or 6 lead to the stop „Campus Südstadt“ (red position below left). From the main station, bus line 39 also runs directly to the front door (stop „Beim Pulverturm“, red position at Konrad Zuse Building). Parking spaces for cars are also available to the north of the Konrad Zuse Building.
ÖPNV (PUBLIC TRANSPORT)
All participants who have booked the entire conference will receive a weekly ticket at the conference office on request, on which they must then enter their name by hand (!). If you stay at the InterCity-Hotel, you do not need a public transport ticket from us, as it is included in the hotel services.

The „Welcome Event“ on Tuesday, the boat tour from the Rostock city harbour, is best reached from the tram stop „Lange Straße“. The tram lines 4 and 6 lead from Campus Südstadt directly to this stop. The departure time is at 19:00 o‘clock, the boarding begins already from 18:30 o‘clock. Between 21:30 and 22 o‘clock we are back at the berth.
The conference dinner will take place on Thursday at Radisson Blu in downtown Rostock. The hotel is loca-ted directly at the tram stop „Kröpeliner Tor“, which can also be reached by tram li-nes 4 and 6. The event starts at 19:00 o‘clock.
