    Although our outdoor experiences are recreational, each one will become a learningexperience or beginners as well as or experienced individuals. While enjoying ourselvand learning about the outdoors, we should always strive to minimize our impact on t

    All outdoor trips are based on the Common Adventurer philosophy which holds thatthe oremost goal o any common adventure is to achieve an enjoyable and worthwhilexperience while displaying the greatest respect or the natural environment. The comadventurer, due to the varying degrees o ability o each participant, can best achieve tgoal by becoming par t o a common group eort. In the spirit o this eor t, all decisioare consensus group decisions and leaders emerge as situations arise. Thus, one can setrip coordinator is a well-chosen title. Trip coordinators coordinate, they do not commthe group leads.

    Indoor Climbing Wall

    One o the most popular eatures available to the UNI community is the climbing wallhoused in the Wellness/Recreation Center. This is one o the largest indoor climbing wa

    in Iowa. Standing at 38.5 eet, this structure oers almost 3,000 square eet o climbinon 11 dierent ropes. There is also a bouldering section. The wall provides opportunitydeveloping tness, strength, condence, and climbing skills.
