Y4 enjoyed a rhythmic gymnastics session taught by former

Olympic and Commonwealth rhythmic gymnastics choreographer Ellen Watson.

Torriano children learnt a gymnastics routine which they will later perform to our reception classes. Y4 will have a chance to teach reception their gymnastics skills using a ribbon.

Torriano Sharks FC Girls’ Team played friendlies against other Camden schools at Talacre last Wednesday. Amazing performances from our goalkeeper Darcy and striker Sidra.

Torriano Athletics team participated in a competition yesterday. They raced, jumped and showed powerful throws. A special mention to our girls’ team who came top 3 in all their races and Indira who managed to get to 3rd place in her track events and two 2nd place in her field events. Well Done!

We will publish Torriano Athletics Team results next week.

Watch out next week for the sports events news!

Happy New Year Torriano!

We trust you had a wonderful break and are refreshed for the new term.

There are some PTA fun fundraising events ahead for us to plan (Quiz Night and Valentine’s), as well as assisting Vjosa, who is a Torriano Teaching Assistant, in her quest to raise money for the school through running the Brighton Marathon. We would also like to assist in raising awareness for World Autism Week which is coming up soon!

Therefore, we will be having a meeting next week on Friday 17th January in Earth Kitchen at 2.30pm.

Please join us to help with all our planning and any ideas that could be useful. If you can’t attend the meeting, you’re always welcome to email us at: [email protected]

Hopefully see you at the meeting!

he PTA are signed up to Easy Fundraising to raise

funds for Torriano. It is super easy to use, you can download the app and register with your own email address and then every time you want to purchase something from one of the listed brands you just go via the app. A percentage of what you spend then gets donated to the PTA which then eventually makes its way back into the school budget to pay for things like trips and equipment! You can also use it via any browser, if you click the link below and sign up a £5 donation will be added to the PTA ac-count. https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/torrianoprimary/?invite=Y1LHP3&referral-campaign=s2s

The NW5 Project is a small, independent, community-run charity. We were established in 1973 following a campaign from residents

concerned about a lack of facilities, for young people, on the Peckwater Estate on Islip Street, in Kentish Town.

We aim to provide facilities and services for young people aged

between 0-21 years and their families, in and around the Kentish Town area.

We seek to foster community cohesion throughout our work and the children who attend our services, come from over twenty different

nationalities and ethnic Backgrounds
