M4 Nil 10% M5 Nil 10% M6 Nil 10% M7 -5% 15% M8 -10% 20% M9 -10% 20%
Note: a) The positive deviation should not exceed manufactures’ selling price of same make, model
and brand. b) The deviation allowed is from actual IDV as allowed, not from MSP. For example, if the
manufacturer selling price is Rs. 3 lacs and it is one year old, then actual IDV will be Rs. 2.40 lacs, the deviation will be calculated from Rs.2.40 lacs and M7 cadre can vary it by Rs.12000/ on negative side and Rs. 36000 on positive side. However this consideration of deviation should be applied judiciously by taking into provision reduction of premium as well as moral hazard. The positive deviation should be higher with the age of vehicle i.e. older the vehicle higher the positive deviation.
