What is the Kingdom of God What is the Kingdom of God

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost – Romans 14:17

• Righteouseness - Matthew 5:20 – (Scribes and Pharisees were self-righteous. Our righteousness must be about God’s righteousness

• Peace – John 14:27, John 16:33, Romans 5:1, & Romans 8:6 ~ Inner Peace because Trust is in God through Christ

• Joy – John 15:11, Romans 15:13, Galatians 5:22-23 & Jude 1:24 ~ Pleasant emotions, delight

• King can give or distribute anything to anyone in his kingdom because He owns it

• Submissin to the King’s lordship means that we have no right to ourselves. Jesus Christ is Lord.

• Initiated by the king, from the king and for the king’s pleasure
