Understanding RecipesChocolate Chip Cookies
Yield: 15 (2 oz cookies) or 30 (1 oz cookies)
Ingredients:
1 cup butter/margarine, softened 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar ½ cup granulated white sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 ½ cups all purpose flour ½ tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 F. In a mixer bowl, cream together butter, brown and white sugar until mixture appears creamy white in
colour and light and fluffy. At this point, add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract and blend in. Combine flour, baking soda and salt and mix into mixture. Mix well. Using a rubber spatula, fold in chocolate chips. Using a 2 oz cookie scoop (red handle), scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes,
until golden brown around the edges. Let cool and enjoy.
