An assembly formed by a combination of two or more separate fenestrationproducts whose frames are mulled together utilizing a combination mullion or reinforcing mullion.

Option (a) – One TestTest one Combination Window

1. Test one combination assembly with individual units meeting Gateway dimensions.

2. Rate individual units and mullion assembly separately. The lowest rating governs the Overall Rating.

3. Optional - Determine rating of smaller units having shorter mullion span and smaller tributary areas - AAMA 2502.

mullions having identical sealing details. Determine weakest window and mullion assembly.

2. If not done previously, test individual units to meet NAFS 11 Gateway Requirements.

3. Test one window assembly for Air, Water and structural.4. Test one mullion assembly as simply supported beam

single-point loading to determine it’s stiffness (EI), and validate with window test EI. Use EI to derive Mullion Assembly DP rating for various mullion spans and tributary width. Verify mullion connections adequacy.

5. Assign SAME rating to all mullion group members.

6. Prepare P.E. sealed AAMA 450 report.
