Pre-Installation Checklist
You will need the following items before installing the Checkpoint VPN Client
1. eGrid on the computer2. Current version of MacAfee Antivirus
a. This must be installed on the computer BEFORE the Checkpoint VPN software
3. Current version of Checkpoint VPN software

Authentication
This section covers how to authenticate to VPN-1 gateway: Username, Password, and the Entrust eGrid.
This provides secure and cost-effective two-factor authentication by leveraging a security grid card. IdentityGuard users are issued a security grid card that contains a series of numbers and letters in clearly marked rows and columns. The security grid card is issued electronically and called an eGrid. After entering the User Name and Password the user will be prompted for the eGrid coordinates.

Running and Configuring the Checkpoint Client1. Look for the key in the taskbar
2. If there are no sites defined, click YES and read on. If sites are defined, click HERE.

3. Put in the sites in the order below. Add them by name first. If that does not work, add them by IP Address (numeric address)

4. Authentication Method: Choose User Name and Password

Note the Security Policy is ON. If your Security Policy is OFF you will need to turn it on.

Defining a new site
1. Click Options
