ABOUT THE COMMUNITY The UP Underground Music Community is a duly recognized non-profit student organization based in the University of the Philippines Diliman. It was founded by five UP students and alumni on September 21, 2002.

The community aims to provide venues for independent local musicians to showcase their talents and passion for music. It believes in training young musicians to be professional and outstanding in their respective areas in music, be it in vocalization, instrumentation, composition or events production. It believes in supporting the local music industry not only by spreading awareness for the music but also by contributing to raising the standards of musicians and event organizers in the Philippines. One of its grand long-term goals is to reinvent the local music industry for the better.

This 2014, the community proudly celebrates 12 years of spreading love and awareness for local music.
