Advanced Credits
Students holding certain qualifications, such as IB Diploma and GCEAL/IAL, may be eligible for advanced credits granted at entry. On average, students with international qualifications can get 16 advanced credits. For more details, please refer to arr.ust.hk/ust_actoe
We welcome applications from students of diverse education background. To be admitted to HKUST undergraduate programs, you should meet the following requirements:
General Admission RequirementsAmerican Patterned System (SAT/AP) » Graduation from High School; and
» SAT Reasoning Test with a minimum combined score of 1,800 in one sitting or ACT plus Writing with a minimum composite score of 27 in one sitting; and

We award various scholarships to outstanding students on competitive merit basis. These awards may be one-off or renewable, full or partial tuition waivers. You will not need to submit a separate scholarship application and will automatically be considered for scholarship when we review your application for admission.
