DESCRIPTION

My design experiences both academic and professional, ranging in scale or scope, always maintain an engaged relationship with the site and contact. I explore what draws me, the natural play of light and space, the interaction of people with built form either experientially or socially.

PHILOSOPHY_My design experiences both academic and professional, ranging in scale or scope, always maintain an engaged relationship with the site and contact. I explore what draws me, the natural play of light and space, the interaction of people with built form either experientially or socially. My desire withholds the final product, as I’m rather drawn by the exploration of design; my production satisfies a requisition to conclude. i as-pire to express differentiation, break the status quo, provide new possibilities, always ambi-tiously exploring this tough the limitless continuum of architecture.

*In this project I studied different massing that would al-low me to build to the maximum FAR allowed on this site. The building rises up to 12 floors and exposing most of its apartments views towards the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. The building is raised on pilotis in order to provide circulation to and from the subway and opening up the backyard park

*Designing the dormitory unit I had to deal with an existing sub-way building, and a lousy highway that passes adjacent to the site. Doing studies of the site and constant noise coming from the highway, I decided to enclose my building with uniform skin that would protect spaces from noise on the noisy side and open up for light and use of rooms on the sunny side. The proposed building was connected with the existing subway building in order to provide di-rect circulation for the students and staff. The building was raised on four main structural columns in order to preserve the public circulation to and from the train station. Raising the building allows the unwanted sound the flow around the building and away from it. The building consists of two buildings that meet each other by the unifying skin in the middle. .

Designing this apart-

ment I had to design it so that that Jane’s family and her brother have a separate

spaces. The parti in this project was the stairs. The stairs divides the two separate spaces for John and Jane, as well as it

transforms into spaces. The first 3 steps of the stairs lead to a living room for Jane’s family while the last few steps lead out to a roof garden and her master

bedroom. Johns space is located on the second floor it encounters his own private liv-ing room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and a small office/studio for his photography career.
