Branch Sales and Management

This 30-36 month program is ideal for individuals who want a

professional career in sales and management.

Through a series of exciting and challenging on-the-job

assignments, you will gain a broad range of skills in sales, sales

management, customer service, consumer and small business

lending, investment product sales, community involvement,

coaching and operations management.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with amajor in business, economics, liberal arts or marketing/sales.

• Job-related questions designed to specifically examine past performance

• Past performance is the best indicator of future performance

• Follow the formula PAR: Problem, Action, Result

• Choose several experiences beforehand and practice incorporating them into your answers

• Interviewers will sometimes take notes

• Emphasize that your answer is complete by referring back to the problem

• Conservative dress is best, even if company is business casual or casual

• Be prepared – research the industry, the company and the job

• Practice interviewing

• Have extra copies of your resume with you as well as pen and paper

• Develop a strong list of references in advance

• Arrive Early


During the InterviewBest Practices • Make sure you answer each question in as much detail as possible

• Eye contact is really important

• Always have questions to ask

• Don’t criticize any organizations or individuals

• Use the interviewers’ name during the conversation whenever possible

• Don’t assume your interest in the job is a given

• Feel free to follow-up with additional relevant information

• If you are eliminated from consideration, you can ask for feedback

• You may also follow up to find out how you stand in the process

• Self-evaluate – what will you improve next time

• Do not commit immediately – take at least a day to consider

• Make sure you understand the offer

• If you decide to negotiate, make sure you justify why

• Think about the total package and be creative

• You are still being interviewed – be reasonable and be polite
