Yayman reported that he con-sidered firstly the insurancevalue of the commodity inquestion and then the covera~eof the policy when purchasin~insurance. Yayman added thatthe insurance sum was of terti-ary importance: "Finally, I reviewthe assistance services offers.After all, an insurance policy is awhole. EverY demand has itsvalue which is reflected on thefinal price"

Problems are solvedwhen the agency isreliableYayman reported that transportfirms faced ~reat risks but it allcame down to the a~ency whena problem occurred: "Not muchof a problem is experienced intraffic and vehicle insurance.Situations which involve dama~eof bigger scales can be mutuallynegotiated on. If your agency isreliable and holds a large portfo-lio, problems are solved and re-sults are obtained more easily"Yayman told that one of thefirm's vehicles got of course inSibiu, Romania and fell off ontoa field from a height of 5 me-ters. He said that the driver, whowas seriously injured, hospital-ized. Then they contacted EvrimSigorta, their insurance agency,which in turn immediatelystarted the relevant processesbased on their travel health in-surance. Yayman added: "Our

driver, who was heavily injuredwith two fractures on his spinalcord, did not wish to undergo anoperation in the institution hewas hospitalized in. We notifiedour agency, Evrim Sigorta, aboutthe situation and they trans-ferred our driver to Istanbul on ahelicopter ambulance within twodays"

Emphasizing on the fact thatEvrim Si~orta's approach duringthe process was very positive,Yayman said: "Our agency navi-gated us as to what had to bedone. They acted as a bridge be-tween us and the insurancecompany. Without any demandssubmitted to us, they organizedthe entire operation of transfer-ring our injured driver to istan.-but" Yayman pointed out thatthe choice of agency came firstbefore choosing one's insurancecompany: "The more reliable myagency is, the better I will be de-fended before my insurancecompany" Yayman listed the cri-teria he took into account whenchoosing an insurance agency:"A~encies offer the main sup-port to the insured party interms of choosing a policy. An-other point to bear in mind isthe number of insurance com-panies the a~ency represents. Icare to see whether my agencyoffers me proposal options. Andone of the most important fac-tors is the extent to which em-ployees of an a~ency areknowled~eable and involved inthe process. I certainly enquirethis too"

We should not be put in the same pot as vehicleinsurance purchasersReminding that one of the biggest expectations from insurance com-panies was immediate payment for damages and not causing anyadditional aggravation instead, Yayman continuf!d: "Firms and agen-cies need to abolish their strict set of rules. Transport firms which payinsurance fees up to 350.000-400.000 TL per annum should not beput in the same pot as other parties which pay obligatory vehicle in-surance premiums for only several vehicles. This framework is appli-cable also for agencies but it does not cover all of them. "
