Logistics Circumstance Evaluation
• Need to prepare for stand alone logistic supportability before the transfer of wartime operational control.
• Logistics system in private sector is rapidly improving with IT based infrastructure.
• It’s going to be more difficult to secure a national defense budget. There is a lot of outside pressure to reform waste and inefficiency in defense management. Using private sector material and service is required.
• Because of the fast improvement of science technology weapon systems are going to be more complicate and expensive. There is a limit to support maintenance by Navy logistics capability.
• Issues of supranational and nonmilitary threat is consistently increasing, it is required to build an international cooperation system for logistic support and disaster aid effort.
