▪ The online certification program includes three courses designed to prepare and position students and working professionals for success in the financial services industry:

▪ Course 1: Introduction to Capital Markets▪ Course 2: Fixed Income Markets▪ Course 3: Foreign Exchange Markets

▪ Each of the three courses takes an average of 12 hours to complete and students will spend approximately 50 hours to complete the entire UNC certification program, including preparation for the final exam.

Introduction to Capital MarketsStudents will develop an understanding of how capital markets are organized, the roles of key players and the mechanics of financial products – including stocks, bonds and options – that are needed to make informed investment decisions.

Alex ArapoglouProfessor of risk management and applied investment management UNC Kenan-Flagler. Mr. Arapoglou served as treasurer and head of risk management worldwide for Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation

FacultyChristian LundbladEdward M. O’Herron Distinguished Scholar and Professor of Finance at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. His research spans asset pricing and international finance, with a specialization in emerging market development. Dr. Lundblad served as a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C., where he advised the Board of Governors on international financial market developments.
