3.Fillthewatertankwithclean,cool(notcold)water.Werecommendusingdistilledwaterifyouliveinahardwaterarea.

4.Replacethetankcapbyturningclockwiseuntiltight.

5.Installthetankbackonthebaseoftheunit.Makesurethetankisfirmlyseated.

About White Dust:Useofhighmineralcontenthardwatermaycauseawhitemineralresiduetoaccumulateonsurfacesintheroomnearthehumidifier.Themineralresidueiscommonlycalled“whitedust.”Thehigherthemineralcontent(or,theharderyourwateris),thegreaterthepotentialforwhitedust.Thewhitedustisnotcausedbyadefectinthehumidifier.Itiscausedonlybymineralssuspendedinthewater.

How and Why To Use Demineralization Cartridges:TheHoMedicsdemineralizationcartridgewillhelpreducethepotentialforwhitedust,adepositofmineralsleftbehindfromusinghardwaterinyourhumidifier.Thecartridgeshouldbereplacedevery30–40fillings.Thecartridgemayneedtobereplacedmoreoftenifyouareusingveryhardwater.Replacethecartridgewhenyounoticeanincreaseinwhitedustbuild-up.Ifwhiteduststillformsaroundthehumidifierafteranewcartridgehasbeeninstalled,considerusingdistilledwater.Topurchasenewdemineralizationcartridges,model#HUM-HDDC4-6CTM,gobacktotheretailer(whereyoupurchasedyourhumidifier),orvisitwww.homedics.ca

If you live in an area with hard water, or use a water softener, we recommend using distilled water for better results from your humidifier. Never use water softening additives in your humidifier.

Cleaning and CareCAUTION:Beforecleaningtheunit,turnpoweroffandunplugunitfromtheoutlet.

Tank CleaningRemovethewatertankfromthehumidifierbasebyliftingitfromthemainunit.Unscrewthetankcapandrinseinsidethetankwithcleanwater.Toremoveanyscaleorbuildup,usea50/50mixtureofvinegarandlukewarmwatertocleantheinsideofthetank.Suggestion:Cleanthewatertankonceeverytwotothreeweeks,dependingonyourwaterconditions.

To Clean the Ultrasonic Membrane:Putasmallamountofmilddishsoaponthesurfaceoftheultrasonicmembrane,thenpourinsomewaterandsoakfor5minutes.Brushcleanwithsoftbristlebrush(notincluded)andrinse.(Fig.11)Suggestion:Cleanthemembraneonceeverytwotothreeweeks,dependingonyourwaterconditions.

NOTE:Neversubmergethebaseinwateroranyliquid.

Limited 1 Year Warranty

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers. To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. • PourutilisernormalementlafonctionSoundSpaalorsquelafonctiondeveille estactivée,maisles30minutesnesontpasencoreécoulées,vousn'avez qu'àappuyersurunautreboutondesélectiondeson.Lafonctiondeveille seradésactivéeetlenouveausonseraémisjusqu'àcequelebouton SLEEP( )soitutilisé,ouquelafonctionSoundSpasoitdésactivée.

REMARQUE :L'humidificateurcontinueradefonctionners'ilfonctionne lorsquelafonctiondeveilleéteintautomatiquementlafonctionSoundSpa.

Remplir le réservoirATTENTION : avantderemplirleréservoir,éteignezetdébranchezl'appareil.Remarque :Transporteztoujoursleréservoiràl'aidedevosdeuxmains

1.Soulevezleréservoirdusoclede l'humidificateuràpartirdelapoignée.

2.Tournezleréservoiràl'envers-enlevezlebouchon duréservoirenletournantdanslesensantihoraire.

3.Remplissezleréservoiravecdel'eaudurobinetpropreet fraiche(maispasfroide).Nousrecommandonsd'utiliserde l'eaudistilléesil'eaufourniedansvotrerégionestcalcaire.

4.Replacezlebouchonduréservoirenletournantdans lesenshoraire,jusqu'àcequ'ilsoitfermementenplace.

5.Installezleréservoirsurlesocledel'appareil. Assurez-vousqu'ilsoitbienenplace.

Au sujet de la poussière blanche :L'utilisationd'uneeauricheenminérauxcauseral'accumulationd'unrésiduminéralblancsur lessurfacesàproximitédel'humidificateur.Lenomcourantdecerésiduest«poussièreblanche».Plusvotreeaucontientdesminéraux(plusvotreeauestcalcaire),pluslesrisquesd'obtenir delapoussièreblancheaugmentent.Lapoussièreblanchen'estpaslerésultatd'undéfaut del'appareil.Elleestsimplementcrééeparlesminérauxcontenusdansl'eauutilisée.

Pourquoi et comment utiliser des cartouches de déminéralisation :LacartouchededéminéralisationdeHoMedicsaideàprévenirl'apparitiondepoussièreblanche,undépôtdeminérauxlaisséparl'eaudevotrehumidificateur.Lacartouchedoitêtreremplacéeaprèsavoirutilisél'équivalentde30-40réservoirs.Lacartouchedoitêtreremplacéeplussouventsil'eauutiliséeesttrèscalcaire.Remplacezlacartouchelorsquevousremarquezuneaugmentationdesdépôtsdepoussièreblanche.Siunepoussièreblancheseformetoujoursautourdel'appareilaprèsavoirchangélacartouche,songezàutiliserdel'eaudistillée.Pouracheterdescartouchesdedéminéralisation,modèlenoHUM-HDDC4-6CTM,présentez-vouschezledétaillantoùvousavezachetél'humidificateur,ouvisitezlesitewww.homedics.ca

Si l'eau de votre localité est calcaire, ou si vous utilisez un adoucisseur d'eau, nous recommandons d'utiliser de l'eau distillée pour maximiser la performance de votre humidificateur. N'utilisez jamais d'adoucisseur d'eau dans l'humidificateur.

Nettoyage et entretienATTENTION : Avant de nettoyer l'appareil, éteignez et débranchez l'appareil de la prise.
