Overview An increasing number of organizations are relying on teams – project teams, product development teams, virtual teams, and autonomous working teams to compete in rapidly changing domestic and global markets. The reason for this is the ability of teams to perform at high levels and adapt quickly to escalating demands. Hence in today’s professional environment, more than ever, there is great emphasis placed on team leadership skills, team communication skills and team management styles. Team effectiveness is enhanced by a team’s commitment to reflection and on-going evaluation. In addition to evaluating accomplishments in terms of meeting specific goals, for teams to be high-performing it is essential for them to understand their development as a team. Hence team members need to constantly sharpen their skills as team initiatives often fail due to improper implementation, conflict and competition. Team Leadership Skills are essential to maintain development and cohesion in the group This course is designed to demonstrate to new and established teams how they can work together in a more confident, relaxed and constructive manner. Delegates will be shown how they can best appreciate the other team members and coach them to utilize and develop the skills they have for the greater benefit of everyone involved.

We recognize that people learn best by doing, and they do a lot in this course. It includes mini-lectures, small- and large-group discussions, games and lots of exercises. It is highly interactive to reinforce what is taught and includes peer editing in a non-threatening environment.

Unless otherwise stated the program instruction is in Standard Day-to-Day English. Participants can

request the instructor to provide a program vocabulary which will ensure they have no problem

understanding the content and can be facilitated a little bit by using Arabic language when necessary.

Dr. Mohamed Haggag

Instructor Bio

Mohamed Haggag is a business instructor and consultant specializing in organizational behavior and

business administration furthermore management information systems. Mohamed also writes technical

business material for publication and is a content author for sales and marketing e-learning programs.

He earned his Ph.D. and MBA from the American University of London. Prior to entering the international

arena, he taught graduate level business and OB courses in the American University of Cairo examination

review courses. Mohamed has worked as Business development manager for Microsoft for seven years in

their offices at Dubai, Cairo and Istanbul. Throughout the past eight years he has been providing training

courses as a freelancer; during that period he had been exposed to different business cultures and norms

of the different countries in the ME.

Dr. Haggag’s academic background, bilingual skills (English/Arabic), extensive travel to over 20 countries

around the world, as well as his work experience, have enabled him to gain a deep respect and

understanding for cross-cultural differences, as well as a ’bird’s eye view’ of the intricacies of people

management, decision making processes and organizational behavior.

Dr. Mohamed Haggag is a certified Senior Trainer, HR Consultant with extensive experience in working

with individuals and groups within the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region as well as Europe. Dr.

Haggag has worked across a variety of industries including Telecommunications, Automotive, FMCG,

Food, Banking, Transportation, amongst others, as well as with international organizations.

As such, Dr. Haggag has designed and delivered an extensive array of soft-skills workshops for personal

development as well as organizational development projects including Leadership Skills, Strategic Thinking
