It is primarily used as a base coat to seal between ink and functional top coats, such as UV coatings or other Ulterion International products * where drying capabilities are limited. Typical Properties Viscosity, seconds (#3 Zahn cup @ 70°F) 15 – 20 pH, Value 7.0 – 9.0 Solids, % 36 – 38 VOC, lb/gal. 0.5 Density, lb/gal. 8.4 – 8.6 Freeze/Thaw Stability One Cycle FDA Status Ulterion ® 126 BV is composed of ingredients, which are in compliance with FDA for direct and indirect food contact, (21 CFR 176.170 with limitations, and 176.180 dry film). Application Methods Application Viscosity: Use as received and stir. Recommended application temperature: 65-75°F. A viscosity reduction with water may be required for certain equipment in order to achieve optimum results. This should only be with Ulterion International’s technical advice. Repulpable/Recyclable Beverage board Bakery packaging Handling / Storage Stability The recommended shelf-life is six months when stored at normal (68-75°F) room temperature. Cleaning is best accomplished before coating dries. Use water and liquid detergent. Product Safety When considering the use of Ulterion International products, please refer to the latest Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). If you require an MSDS for this product; please call (706) 654-2222 or your Ulterion International Representative.
