Member’s Feedback

• We need to sell ‘the benefits’ better• Work we’ve done on fire issue well respected• Site Safe highly regarded• Current prices unsustainable• Generally in favour of including upstream supply chain

as associate members• Architects require educating• We may like to consider spreading payments monthly

or quarterly• Monthly Newsletter for wider distribution, including

customers, would be useful• There is a shortage of skills

Quality update

• Historically for Manufacturer members the UKTFA internal Q Mark was tailor-made but didn’t win business!

• Transition to ISO 9001 was made knowing full well in time we would need product certification also

• TRADA link was retained and their Q Mark accepted• CE mark required by 30th June 2013 – date may drift but our

resolve will not• By 30th June 2012 ALL members will have to prove their

intention to achieve our requirements by 30th June 2013• We will be using TRADA to come up with a generic UKTFA

product that we will sell on to UKTFA members at a significant saving

• CFOA/ABI are looking to offer financial incentives to clients who use UKTFA members

Page 16: UKTFA Regional Meeting Wednesday 14 th March 2012 Andrew Carpenter Chief Executive Report

accreditation e.g. BBA• Purchase Handbook is proposed following the recent

set of fire test results• CE Mark will force manufacturers to use UKTFA

members with the necessary quality levels
