UKMEA BIM Infra agreed objectives:#Real-BIM becoming ‘business as usual’ during 2015-16
Skills Networks
Skill Networks 2015-2016 develop BIM Plans and related skills/capability
applied within our disciplines. The following key actions should be
considered by each Skills Network: (develop skills, prepare processes,
optimise tools, apply training).
Group Leaders
…to communicate objectives for the application of BIM on their projects and set targets to be achieved by each team (cost centre) within their Group.
Team/cost centre Leadership
Enable BIM to be part of all projects - skills embedded within each team.
Team leadership play a key role in tailoring these skills making them
responsible for our objectives.

NW&Y BIM Response 2015-16
1: BIM Measure set team targets and on all future design projects
2: Steadily increase staff BIM skills – using new NW&Y team plans
3: Apply BS1192 Document Controls on every projectSteady increase implementation (where possible)
4: Start to develop BIM Execution PlansSteady development – PM’s take ownership – their teams supports BEP – Skills Networks for client response
5: Review Project Wise for benefits – then apply Review benefits – look for steady migration from J: Drive
6: Optimise Information Modelling (CAD/GIS)Supported by our new NW&Y Info Modelling Expert Team (volunteers)
