3. UFIC’S ROADS TO NEWOPPORTUNITIES

1. UTC KICK OFFMEETING 2017

Our Group Vice Chairman Mr. Ahmad Hajj, Group COO/CFO Mr. Mario Ibrahim and UTC Management invited UTC team to an end of year kick off meeting to celebrate the major UTC’s success records achieved throughout 2016 year and emphasize how ready should we stay to embrace the upcoming year challenges with full enthusiasm and enough determination to go beyond the expected results.

Congratulations to Joy Philip and Moin Akmal who started their journey with UFS since day one and completed also their 20 years of service.

The Natural Cheese in KSA is one of the most important and attractive category in the country which is mainly divided into 2 main categories “White & Yellow Cheeses”. Most of the well-known natural cheese varieties are Feta, Edam and Gouda which are estimated today to have around 30%of cheese volume and even more in value in the cheese market.

Lactalis is the worldwide leader in Natural Cheese with a huge portfolio of products. In KSA, the main priority in 2017 is to develop this category. To do that the first step is to enter in Delicatessen Section (Deli Section), where these cheeses are mainly sold.

The best way to start a new business is with a leader brand in Natural White Cheese such as Valbreso, which is the only French Feta Cheese made 100% from sheep milk, that Lactalis started to manage since March 2017 in KSA.

The next step is to introduce the most famous Natural Yellow Cheeses from Holland, Gouda and Edam Cheeses under the brand Président, with their exquisite flavor and unique texture. These varieties will be available in the market on May 2017 and then will be supported with the first Président television campaign.

These are the first steps for Lactalis to develop a strong business in Natural Cheese market in KSA. See you next time to share new and amazing projects!

This is a notice written in the pair of jeans I am holding in store. I like these jeans. They look worn out and wrinkled around the pockets, as if they are old. This old-new look design is the one that makes me to particularly pick up the jean from the rest. It stands out. As I read the notice of the label, I can’t help but reflect on my life. The designers have deliberately made the jean to undergo a process of being wrinkled so that it retains a unique look.

I have been through some circumstances that have left me feeling wrinkled, worn out and torn apart. But I am glad that now I understand that I was torn apart so that I can stay intact. Like that jean which went through an advanced aging process to create a ‘destroyed look’, some unfortunate events have destroyed me so that I can look better. Such events, though unpleasant, have made me. They have molded and shaped my way of thinking, my way of being, my outlook to life and my worldview.

Going through a process of being wrinkled and tossed upside down is crucial in one’s life. You may not be aware or approve of what you go through at that particular moment, but it will eventually result in you earning a ‘unique look’. Indeed life has a way of pulling you down, down to your highest self. Sometimes it is the very confusion that enlightens our understanding. It is the blindness that may ultimately open our eyes. It is the going downs that pave a way to our going ups. It is going through that tearing process that brings out the quality in us. The paradox of life can be intriguing.
