“Create Your Season” allows patrons to purchase six or more individual concerts at a great discount – if you are a Thursday Scholarship Series subscriber, you can get your tickets for 50% off the normal price of $12, or $20 for Opera Theatre! Please see order form for details.

Every year, scholarships and graduate assistantships funded by your donations to the Thursday Scholarship Fund make it possible for students to pursue their dreams at “The Hugh” and the University of Georgia.

Director’s CircleGifts of all amounts are greatly appreciated. However, annual giving at the $1,000 level and higher provides membership in the Director’s Circle, our Hugh Hodgson School of Music Honor Roll.

Director’s Circle members are invited to exclusive events and private performances throughout the academic year.

very August, over five hundred excited students return to the Hugh Hodgson School of Music – filling our practice rooms and rehearsal halls in preparation for another year of brilliant performances. These students are proud to share their talents in the more than 350 concerts and recitals on campus each year, and appreciate your growing, loyal audience support.

Our most beloved tradition, of course, is our Thursday Scholarship Series, featuring world-class performances by students and faculty. This series continues the tradition of “Music Appreciation Programs” started by Hugh Hodgson in the 1930s, shortly after he began teaching at The University of Georgia. Ticket sales and donations to the Thursday Scholarship Fund are a primary way we offer scholarships and graduate student support to our students each year.

This year we are pleased to offer a new opportunity to purchase tickets to our other ticketed events as well – a “Create Your Season” Subscription! Build your own season – pick six or more concerts or recitals and receive a significant discount on ticket prices. Thursday Scholarship Series Subscribers receive the CYS tickets at 50% off – or if you want to purchase only a customized season with the Create Your Own recipe, you can order these tickets for a limited time at 30% off the regular price! This opportunity expires August 4, 2017.

I know that if he could join us in Hodgson Hall today, Mr. Hugh would be proud of what his school has become. Our students, every year, become more and more impressive. I hope to see you at a concert soon!
