INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATE

1. The test will be objective in nature and for each question several suggested answers will be given of which only one answer will be correct.

2. The Answer Sheet will be machine scored and therefore requires specific procedure to be followed as given below:

a) The answers will be marked only with Black/Blue ball point pen.

b) The method of marking answers is indicated below.

I) Each question will be followed by answers marked as (A), (B), (C) or (D). Select the most appropriate answer. Then use Black/Blue ball point pen to blacken the oval bearing the correct answer index against the serial number of the question on the answer sheet. For example, if the answer to question number 2 is C, is to be marked as follows:

II) Some wrong methods of marking answers:

Please do not mark your answers or fill up information by using any of the following methods of making

(Use of tick marks) (Use of cross mark) (Use of dot)

(Use of line mark) (Half filled oval) (Mark outside the oval)

In all the above cases, though you may have given the right answer, it may not be read by the machine because of wrong method of Marking the answer.

III) Please note that the oval should be dark enough and should be filled in as completely as possible. You need not make special efforts to darken any oval artistically.

IV) The candidate should choose the correct answer carefully before darkening the oval. No mark will be awarded for multiple response /answer to a single question.

SOME IMPORTANT POINTS

The machine will first read your Roll No., Subject/Discipline Code, Booklet No. and Booklet series from the answer sheet and then evaluate your answers. Therefore you must show your Roll No., Subject/Discipline Code, Booklet No. and Booklet series correctly by filling correct ovals with Black/Blue ball point pen.

a) You are advised to bring with you the following things:

I) Admit card for the written test.

II) Two Black/Blue ball point pen.

b) Your answer sheet may not be assessed:

I) If you use any method of making your answer other than darkening ovals.

II) If you do not write all the information required on the answer sheet such as Roll No., Subject/Discipline Code, Booklet No. and Booklet series etc., and Blacken appropriate ovals.

III) If you do not handle your answer sheet carefully.

IV) If you do not use Black/Blue ball point pen for marking on the answer sheet.

This test is little different from the examination that you have appeared in your school or college. So read the following instructions carefully.

SOME IMPORTANT RULES

1. Read the direction for each of the parts of the test carefully. The test will be divided into several parts which are separately timed. Use your time as economically as possible. Do not waste time in pondering over questions which seem difficult or ambiguous to you. Do not worry If you can not answer all the questions within the time limit. The test is so designed that it is difficult for you to complete the entire test within the limit.

2. Do not give more than one answer to any question as there is only one correct answer to each question. If more than one answer is given by you for a question it will be counted as wrong.

3. Follow the instructions given by the supervisor, when the supervisor asks you to start or to stop a test, or a section of a test you must follow his instructions immediately. This is very important.

4. You will not be permitted to take scratch or rough paper, scales or drawing instruments or calculators into the examination hall as they are not needed. Do your rough work in the test booklet itself.

5. After finishing the test submit the test booklet and the answer sheet to the supervisor. Do not take these out of the hall. This is must.

6. Do not forget to indicate your name, Roll No. and question booklet series etc., on the answer sheet and to blacken the appropriate ovals properly.
