Over 50 years have passed since the birth of Taitù. More than fifty springs, summers, autumns and winters,
during which time founder, designer and owner Emilio Bergamin has never grown tired of creating new
objects at the service of beauty and the joy of living. Collections of plates, glasses and table accessories,
trustworthy “presences” accompanying us in our daily lives, reminding us of the basic rituals that define our
being “humans”: sitting together around a table, sharing food but also glances, emotions and, above all,
time. The time we often lack - our ultimate luxury.
Rejecting shabby business strategies that impoverish creativity and wither ideas, Emilio Bergamin has
always remained faithful to his Muse, the legendary Queen Taitù. An enchanted dream figure who “took
him by the hand” when he was still a little child and never let him go, inspiring him to create a fresh,
modern style which is beyond time, like nature itself. Flowers, fruits, trees, meadows, vegetables,
landscapes, seas, mountains and skies: from the infinitely big to the infinitely small, the beauty of the world
is the protagonist of Taitù creations.
In the new 2012 collections you will find the sweet scent of pine needles and wild berries, the aromatic
perfumes of mountain flowers, resin and pine cones, but also the eternal snows of the mountain heights.
You will find the bright hues of Caribbean fish, the silver-faced leaves of poplars quivering in the wind, but
also the simple beauty of human pursuits, the poetry of handwork, the rich aroma of coffee in the morning.
A world of tactile and visual sensations, a feast for the eyes, an invitation to dream and to start a journey
which is, above all, a journey within ourselves.
Designed to be freely matched according to the brilliant “mix-and-match” concept, which is an actual
milestone in the world of porcelain, Taitù collections invite us to mix moods, colors and forms in order to
create ever new combinations, transforming the act of sitting around a table in a precious moment to
unleash our imagination, becoming the makers of our own style.
Because the “gentle revolution” started by Emilio Bergamin since the beginning of this adventure does not
concern porcelain only, but above all people. In our cynical, hasty world, beauty represents the ultimate
shelter, our connection to what is eternal. “Beauty is truth, truth beauty - that is all / Ye know on earth, and
all ye need to know” (J. Keats).

Along with the previous rectangular, round and oval plates, and the salad bowl, Taitù presents today 5 further series to complete the Montagna Collection. They only wait for your approval and your enthusiasm: the newest matched espresso and tea cups, mugs, cereal bowls and fruit plates.
FREEDOM in Fine Bone China
(9 Items each assorted in set of 4 pc) + 4 Serving Accessories + Tea Pot,
and coordinated Table Textile Set
With the Freedom Collection Queen Taitù raids the treasure chests of imagination, showing the lavish
generosity of an ancient goddess of bounty. “Freedom” represents the liberty to be yourself in every
respect, just like nature. Fruits, butterflies, ibiscus flowers, pine trees, jonquils, hazel trees, water-lily
leaves, tomatoes, peaches, apples, carrots, blades of grass: devised with a classical set-up, but provided
today with a stunning variety of accessories, the Freedom Collection plunges us in a full-coloured world,
where the plate itself, through its sprightliness, sharpens our appetite, tempting our eyes with the idea of a
fragrance, a memory, something we have tasted long ago. Infinite combinations are possible for whoever
wishes to feel free to express him/herself through the art of table setting, plunging in a realistic yet
enchanted world, full of botanical details.
Broad napkins and cotton leaf-shaped placemats, all rigorously hand-stitched and embroidered, complete
the Freedom Collection. Once more, even in the textile set, the password is, as ever, “personalize it”!
A complete textile set that reflects the simple and perfect balance of the natural world, from the leaf- or
flower-shaped coasters to the placeholders.
GIARDINI in Fine Bone China
(4 serving accessories + Tea Pot)
“I'm the little "Heart's Ease"! I don’t care for pouting skies!”. Emily Dickinson’s verses seem to spring
directly from the items of the Giardini Collection, a genuine explosion of spring flowers which brings all the
freshness of a countryside garden to our table. Four serving plates in Fine Bone China for three basic shapes
- round, oval and rectangular -, fit for a contemporary setting as well as for a more traditional mise en
place, that celebrate the infinite joie de vivre of a blooming garden in a blaze of primary colors. Whether
real, or set in the Land Beyond the Mirror, it does not matter: beauty is, first of all, in the eyes of the
beholder.
CARAIBI in Fine Bone China
(4 serving accessories)
The sea, this marvelous cradle of life, is a wild garden too. Its flowers are brilliantly colored fish of every
size, as in the new collection of table accessories, Caraibi, designed to be matched to the previous Sea
Collection and its sumptuous coral decoration. The new ensemble is made up of rectangular, round and
oval serving plates plus a round salad bowl in Fine Bone China. The collection is inspired by the bright
vitality of the tropical seas, from the wonderful kaleidoscope of the angelfish to the darting, angular
movements of thousands of little silver fish, taking us for an instant to the brim of the coral reef, to the
edge of a different world made of light, clearness and colour.
CALLE in Fine Bone China
(5 Pc, Dinner and Dessert Plate Square; Soup Plate and Cup/Saucers Round)
The softly curving lines of the elegant calla lily stand out on the round plates of the Calle Collection,
matching square elements in a refined contrast. The mere name of the collection recalls the Greek word
“kalòs”, which means “beautiful”. A symbol of purity often associated with archangels and, at the same
time, with earthly sensuality, calla lilies unite earth and heaven in one emblem encompassing every kind of
creativity. It is not by chance that, according to the ancients, the first calla lily was born from a few milk
drops falling from Hera’s breasts, while in the language of flowers it is the symbol of a passion that needs
no words to be expressed.
ROMANTICA in Fine Bone China
(6 pc) and coordinated Table Textile Set
With the Romantica Collection Taitù celebrates the beauty of Her Majesty the Rose, among Emilio
Bergamin’s most cherished themes, who has provided it with an extraordinary blaze of color, enhanced by
an ever- increasing palette. A shower of petals announcing the fullness of spring to mix at will without
haste, because roses bloom in winter, too, surprising us in the midst of a hard frost by their otherworldly
beauty.
We find the n.1 favorite flower of the poets also in the coordinated hand-made cotton textile set, which
gives a new look to our table in synch with the Romantica table Collection: placemats and coasters
embellished by hand-made embroidery recreating the sublime shape of the rose, but also elegant aprons
that evoke a whole world of gentleness, of slow afternoons on the grass, of a poetical savoir vivre that tries
to escape from the caducity of life.
MARE in Fine Bone China
Collection (6 pc + Tea Pot) and coordinated Table Textile Set
The sea is never enough for them - the Poets. Whether calm or wild, sunny or stormy, the sea is the mirror
of our desires, a mirage of the absolute. Deeply cherished by the lover of freedom, as Baudelaire wrote,
“more beautiful than cathedrals”, as Verlaine said, the sea is also the mother, the origin of life. As such it is
celebrated by Emilio Bergamin, poet-designer of our time, through the Mare Collection: 6 pieces in Fine
Bone China plus a tea pot, embellished with an extraordinary decoration with a complex, virtuosic pattern
which suggestively unites naturalistic knowledge and artistic vision: coral, fish, nautilus, starfish that appear
on our table and can be matched, from now on, with the new complements of The Caribbean Collection.
A party of living forms to mix at will.
The Mare Collection also includes a textile set of fish- or shell-shaped placemats and square napkins,
decorated with a handmade embroidery featuring coral, fish, shell-fish and shells. The set is completed by
runners and placeholders recalling once more the marine shapes already featured on the placemats. White
and light as a tiny sea-cloud, they are the perfect combination to underline the graphic and chromatic
complexity of this beautiful table service.
FERRI in Fine Bone China
(6 pcs collection)
Human history can be summed up in a single iron wire, unwinding itself back in time like Ariadne’s thread,
bringing us back to an ancient but already advanced Age. The whole of the iron processing techniques,
from extraction to fusion and forging, have marked the way to History as we know it today. Ductile, simple
and strong, iron has always been the perfect material for a great many things that have helped us shape
our everyday life: from ploughs to swords, from kitchen tools to great architectonic achievements.
Emilio Bergamin recreates the century-old charm of the art of iron with the new Bone China table service
Ferri Collection, that synthetically features, through its elegant and essential design, the different forms of
iron used by humankind in their activities, such as wire nettings, parallel lines, concentric circles, broken
lines and tiny needlework. An authentic breakthrough in Taitù’s production, characterized until now by the
use of color and natural shapes, the Ferri Collection perfectly fits a contemporary, practical context, setting
a new trend within Taitù’s creative range.
FOGLIA in Super Fine Porcelain
(4 Serving pc + Ice cream set) and coordinated Napkins Set
Minimalist as an haiku, refined as a sonnet, the Leaves Collection is made of superfine porcelain of
extraordinary tactile quality. When pierced by light, it seems to dematerialize and almost float in the air like
leaves carried away by the wind. A superbly refined collection that, after the great success of the
Mediterranean Diet line, features the completeness of artistic balance which is the result of unmatched
technical research. Sole presence in the snowy purity of the design, a tiny lady bug appears on leaf-shaped
plates and bowls, giving unique character and life to the whole table service.
The Foglia Collection is matched to the coordinated Lady Bug Textile Set, dedicated to the “lucky bug” par
excellence. A complete set of square, hand-embroidered napkins, each different from the other, to match
the round lines of the Leaves Collection creating a fresh contrast for a style beyond time.
VENTO in Super Fine Porcelain
(4 Serving pc + Ice cream set)
“Oh Wind, if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?”, wondered P. B. Shelley in his famous “Ode to the
West Wind”. Emilio Bergamin asks himself the same question today, watching a line of poplars quivering in
a strong northern wind that shakes their bows creating a charming effect due to the varying color of the
poplar leaves, green on top and silver-white below. A deep emotion overflows the heart: suddenly the
trees seem to be in full bloom! Spring is still far away, yet we can already sense its presence. Today we can
find this selfsame emotion in the new Vento Collection, that features the vegetable shapes of the previous
Leaves Collection, emphasizing the double color of the poplar leaves, able to create the effect of a true off-
season bloom. It is not by chance that the poplar has always been an ancient symbol of renovation and of
the change from one world to the other, from everyday life to pure magic, which is, in the end, nothing
more than seeing the world with new eyes.
TEA POTS e GOOD LUCK in Fine Bone China
Elegant, clear shapes characterize the Tea Pots Collection in Fine Bone China, an extraordinary
achievement both from a technical and artistic point of view. With a capacity of 1,2 litres, the Tea Pots are
available in the different patterns of the table services. Their essential forms underline the richness of the
pattern, be it the pansies of the Gardens Collection, the blades of grass and the lady bugs of the Freedom
Collection, or the coral and tropical fish of the Sea Collection.
Today we can get a little bit of luck with the new Good Luck Collection, the new coordinated set including
milk jug and sugar bowl, both decorated with four-leaf clovers and cabbage butterflies. A genetic anomaly
of the white clover, the rare four-leaf clover has always been considered a good omen and, according to
tradition, it is said to bring you nice dreams once put under your cushion. And on your table? Just try it!
