• Infected people get more severe clinical symptoms than we were used to. Heavy pneumonia (hospitalisation) from which the residual symptoms can persist for more than a year.• Although Coxiella burnetti is found in all kind of species, this one originates from goats (sheep).• Managerial measurements on the farms did not have any effect!
