Course Description | The Inaugural Doheny-UCLAInternational Glaucoma Symposium brings together experts inglaucoma patient care and vision research from across theworld. This full-day event is organized into cutting-edgeanterior and posterior segment glaucoma sessions. Thecourse material will involve a combination of clinical scenarios,translational research, and bench investigation. Topics willexplore glaucoma pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, alternativetherapies, cyclodestruction, advanced posterior/anteriorsegment imaging, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgeries andnovel surgical techniques, advanced biophysical testing,aqueous humor dynamics, evaluation of biomarkers,electrophysiological evaluation, and principles of glaucoma celldeath. The goal is to better define current challenges in orderto initiate the discovery of innovative solutions for the future.
