A Melbourne-based client had

been awarded a new construction

contract commencing immediate-

ly, but did not have the available

materials due to an overrun on an

existing project.

Having identified the opportunity

to purchase these in Brisbane, UC

Logistics Australia was asked to

assist with pickup, short term stor-

age and delivery to the construc-

tion site for 270T of materials.

The seller was closing down their

Brisbane operations and as such

had limited staff and equipment

for the safe loading of the materi-

als.

UC Logistics Australia’s qualified

transport provider assisted with

providing a forklift and labour to

ensure the materials were loaded

without delay and at no additional

cost to the client.

With a tight timeframe in which

to have all the materials moved,

UC Logistics Australia used their

extensive network to source

short-term storage on delivery in

Melbourne free-of-charge for the

client.

With final delivery completed

within two weeks of initial request

and at a 10% discount to the quo-

tation obtained by the client, they

were completely satisfied with the

service provided.

A Pilbara-based mining services

business elected to upgrade their

vehicle fleet and as a result need-

ed to transport over 40 vehicles

from various Pilbara locations to

Perth for resale.

Comprising a mixture of light ve-

hicles and mine-spec trucks, UC

Logistics Australia negotiated the

temporary free storage of these

vehicles in the Pilbara before

transportation.

This allowed the client to coordi-

nate staggered transportation of

these vehicles to Perth over a five

week period.

With an average of 8 vehicles a

week delivered to their Perth yard,

the client was able to manage the

cleaning and disposal of these ve-

hicles in an orderly manner.

This not only saved significant

amounts of money in storage in

Perth, but also ensured they were

able to maximise the resale value

of the vehicles as the market was

not completely flooded with sec-

ondhand vehicles at one time.

The client has since continued to

use UC Logistics Australia as their

preferred supplier.

needed a toolbox collected from their Perth

workshop and delivered to site in Port Hed-

land.

Their usual transport provider had not de-

livered their last consignment on time, and

toolbox was going to arrive in Port Hedland

on time.
