WHAT YOU WILL LEARN The program of the Mechanic Training Course teaches students the essentials of building and maintaining bikes across the cycling disciplines. The course also provides students with vital experience at races, travelling with the World Cycling Centre (WCC) team most weekends as an active team mechanic, under the expert guidance of the Centre’s mechanics. This extensive course includes: • Building road, track, MTB & BMX bikes, • maintenance and servicing of road, track, MTB & BMX bikes, • wheel building, • position on the bike, • rules & regulations. COURSE STRUCTURE The course lasts eight weeks and is delivered by World Cycling Centre (WCC) Master Mechanic, Alex Roussel. Alex has over 30 years of professional experience as a cycling mechanic and has worked with professional teams and National Federations across the sport of cycling, attending countless major events including World Championships. DATES • 2nd February to 27th March 2015, • 4th May to 26th June 2015, • 7th September to 30th October 2015. COST The cost of the course is CHF 8’000.- This includes: basic standard accommo- dation, meals, teaching material, health and accident insurance, travel to any races attended with the WCC teams.
