As a part leader, I elt I have been gaining improvementwith my part together each time. I am touched bythe altos as well as other parts continuous devotion inthe tough rehearsals and tutorials, striving to learn andimprove. Their devotion becomes my motivation to dobetter, though the greatest motivation still comes rom

my deeply rooted passion towards music. The 44thAnniversary Concert, the rst and perhaps only concertcreated by colleagues and I, was indeed a memorable andullling experience, and I am still missing every momento that wonderul evening. Another really touchingmoment was when the Choir sang my choral compositionMusic, when sot voices die. I couldnt nd the suitablewords to describe the unique and satisying eeling othat moment. The lyrics o the poem are in harmony withwhat many people and I eel. May the beautiul musicwe have created together persist in our memories. Aheartelt thank to all those who have contributed in everyway to make our concert possible.

It brought me back to the old days when I was still studying Primary School,when my music teacher led us choir members to sing and we ran around playinggames during the breaks.

Though things are more sophisticated and higher singing techniques are

required in the Union Choir, I still eel the cohesion and warmth amongst theunited amily. Practicing or the anniversary concert was quite tough or me as

I had not been singing or a while and Im mot a proessional singer. Yet, under

the patient guidance o the part leader, Stephanie, and the conductors, Ringtone

and Jerey, I have learnt a lot about singing skills, and even enjoyed singing the

songs ater knowing the romantic meanings o some songs.

Joining the Union Choir and participating in the anniversary concert is one o

the most remarkable experience in my reshman year. I am grateul to meet new

riends and gain support rom my amily. This is going to be the very bit Id cherishalways.

Here are my comments, let me know i this is too short:The 44th Anniversary Concert, in my opinion, was a genuine success. Itrepresents the culmination o the combined eorts, diligence and teamworko our Choir, striving together in dedication to our shared passion o choralmusic. Perorming as part o this wonderul team has truly been an amazingexperience.

o be honest, I wasnt that into the music in the

beginning. Cause I like Chinese song most.Though every song we are going to perorm inanniversary concert are in oreign language. SoIm not that engaged into the team. However, ater

joining the team singing Barbers o Seville, I oundback my spirit o singing. When I practice with mygroup mates, I can always eel the passion andenthusiasm in music. I now eel happy every timewhen singing in the choir. I still hope I can singsongs with dierent style or dierent language inthe coming perormances. All in all, I love standing

on stage and perorm with my teammates.

It has been another perormance with Union Choir.It was one o the best.Heck, all o them are the best ones.During the preparation in the concert, I tried mybest to capture everyones impression. There areexcitements, anticipations, bonding as well as

joy. They contrasted so much with the conusion,alertness and isolation in the beginning oSeptember.I truly elt that we have grown so much together asa choir. As a choir, we had a blast in OUR concert.We sang the music, we also sang out ourselves.

From Union Song to Barber, rom Magnicat toAmen, we sang not only the lyrics, the notes orthe melody. We sang our respect to music, our joyin music, and our joy in UC.Thats all that matters, I cant wish or anythingbetter. Ater that day, music is always there withme.Dont be sad its over, be glad it happened. -

Felt a little relieved ater the show. Yet I eellittle upset now, the whole things done. At thebeginning, I thought about giving up, likequit it,I really cant read them; just go back and sing popsongs. Then ater 2 or 3 weeks,I thought a lot though I couldnt sing fawlessly, I did improve, atleast, I can ollow... the lyrics, the notes, keeping

the aith I can do it, Ill just improve EVEN more,tried best not to miss any tutorial n rehearsal,even though therere only Stephanie and me insoc room. And practised with Magnicat online.On-day the whole day, I really didnt eel nervous(though i heard my heart beat with Magnicatshaha), because the whole UC was there, CUTEALTOS were there. Thiss a super good show.Thanks everyone involved =]

Rutters Magnicat has become a very meaningul piece or me. Listeningto it will bring back happy memories o singing alongside Holun Chanand the other entertaining tenors; o Ringtone Yeung and Jerey Wans

inspiring rehearsals; and o the night o the concert. Thanks or introducing

such beautiul music to me, and or making me eel welcome in the choir.

This has been my third year singing in anni. Each year gives medierent eelings. Perhaps due to my jong is not the organizer othis anni, the sense o achievement rom this concert is not that big orme but I really eel what is to pass the fame o remembrance onto the

next generation. This years anni reminds me o the anni during myjong period. Music is a magic which made me almost bursts into tearswhen singing Wie ieblich sind deine Wohnungen and The Awakening,respectively last year and this year. Being ironically is that I could be oneo the audiences o anni only ater singing or 3 years. But what eelingwill I receive being an audience next year? Up to now I dont know butIm sure that i the anni is still here in the uture and carries on to be oneo the traditions in UC I will by all means buy tickets to hear the concert.See you all in uture.

P.S. Putting o glasses or taking group photo has really been a traditionin tenor, since my session =D

I have many eelings or this concert. Let me share some that membersmight be interested.

3 months beore, I worry about how newly recruited perormers eel aboutthe rehearsals and the concert.

2 months beore, I was araid that I could not bring in enough attentionrom the public to the choir (since I wanted the whole world to see howhard UCers worked towards this concert )

1 month beore, I worry that altos may not have enough voice.

1 day beore, I was so nervous that something would go wrong.

On that day, I wished that Magnicat 7 will never end. At the momentwhen we all sing to arewell the guests, I almost cried since I can eel thatUC excos have delivered the passion or music to the perormers.

As a perormer, there are 4 stages that I went through.First, I worked hard to get all the notes, the pitch, and the dynamicscorrect.Then, I work on looking at the conductors and not the score that seemedlike my bible I cant sing without.Ater that, I hoped that I will help altos by singing the correct exampleor others to ollow. ( I think I was never correct though)
