• bulk of the budget will be used to support activities that promote high quality teaching and learning at UAlberta
• requests for capital equipment (e.g. computers) must be shown to be integral to the proposal
• principal and co-applicants cannot receive remuneration
• funds for teaching release will be considered only in exceptional circumstances

Prior to adjudication meeting:1. Any conflicts of interest identified2. Each grant reviewed by all committee members3. Each give summary score of Yes/Maybe/No
At adjudication meeting: Committee members in conflict leave room4. Primary reviewer provides brief summary5. Secondary reviewer adds comments6. Proposal is discussed by committee7. Decisions are reached by consensus All proposals discussed
