• Acceptances grew 24% over the 10–year period.

• Enrollment in graduate programs grew 36% from Fall 2000 to Fall 2009.

UAA graduate students are distributed across 6 schools and colleges.

Credit hours, seat count, and FTE follow the steady upward trend of enrollment, each growing 31% over the 10–year period.

Since FY01, the number of graduate degrees and certificates awarded by UAA has doubled, and in the last five years that number has grown by 37%. A record high number of awards (400) were conferred in FY07 due to a spike in the number of degrees and certificates from the College of Education and the College of Health and Social Welfare. In 2010, the upward trend returned with 356 awards.

College of Education produces the highest number of awards and certificates with a peak of 211 awards in FY07. Together with the College of Business and Public Policy, the second largest producer of awards, these colleges account for almost two-thirds of all graduate degrees awarded at UAA.

Most graduate certificates and degrees awarded by UAA continue to be in programs identified as high demand job areas.
