FY 2001 Performance Goal:

"Improve the health of the work force"

Performance Indicators:

1. Develop and implement supervisor-specific training for the identification and management of stress.

2. Develop and implement training for coping with stress for employees.

3. Develop a robust audit and assessment program to ensure the quality of medical care and all health-related services, completing at least 6 Center audits.

"Increase the safety infrastructure and the health of the work force."

Performance Indicators:

1. Standardize and implement minimum elements of employee preventive and medical monitoring examinations.

2. Establish a mechanism to aggregate employee epidemiological preventive health data for long term tracking and as a basis for policy.

3. Develop and implement a medical quality assurance system based upon comprehensive audits of all aspects of health care delivery and assurances of professional competency.
