Dear Faith Family of Our Lady of Grace, Praised be Jesus Christ…now and forever! There is very li le that will render me speechless. Well – last Sunday was one of those rare occasions. As I walked into the church, I found myself overwhelmed with humility and awe. “I am just your servant, Lord,” I prayed. So many came to share this special Installa on Liturgy with me and our community. What have I done to be deserving of the privilege to be the shepherd of the souls of these wonderful people of Our Lady of Grace? The Lord has done great things for me! I keep saying this – but it is worth repea ng un l everyone believes and is red of hearing me say it. I am overjoyed at being appointed pastor of Our Lady of Grace. I have grown to love this parish and the many people who I have had the privilege to encounter even in the midst of a pandemic! What a me to be a pastor! Our Lady of Grace has been blessed with many parish-ioners willing to give of their me and talents to foster community. Today, we renew our commit to con nue building a diverse community who is willing and generous to build communion. Whether it be liturgical, fiscal, educa onal, or social, I have been overwhelmed with the response of the parishioners to do “whatever is needed” to return our parish to the vital spiritual and social community it can and should be. Well – I am here – for six years or more – and I am here to serve you. Every challenge is an opportunity to change and grow. I am ready and willing to work and pray with you. As I stated at Sunday’s liturgy, we have a generous God who seeks for us to be holy. Let us pray that we may respond to that invita on so that our community may have holy families, holy priests, holy voca ons, and echo the hymn of Our Lady, “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.” A celebra on like that we shared last Sunday does not come together without many helping hands. All I did was get up and show up! So, who are these helping hands? Too many to list – but let me try. • Our music ministry – led by Jeannie Rogers. The choirs and musicians from our 8am organist, 9:30am Adult Choir, 12:30pm

youth choir as well as our guest instrumentalists. • The parish representa ves who presented the various symbols of the office of Pastor (Elvia Arceo, Anses and Louise Joseph,

Edward and Anissa Willet and Family, Rafael and Sirley Gonzalez and family, and Abe Family) Gi bearers (Luis and Claudia Ochoa, Vince and Jumoke Akhator, Nick and Angie Tancraitor, Andrew and Laura Clock, Rosa Hernandez,Tomasa Sinad, Marilyn and Mick Peter Saguin)

• Our Seminarians from St. John’s Seminary, Altar Servers, Sacristans, Lectors, and Ushers • Benefactors to the special commissioned chasubles (Eula Adad and family) • To the liturgical environment enhanced by the floral arrangements- Marcelina and Pilar Godina and Taketa Family • A special thanks to the Knights of Columbus and Honor Guard who were with us in procession • To the un ring work of the Installa on Recep on Commi ee who in a ma er of weeks got the recep on organized (Joel

Raroque, Flor Flores, Claudia and Luis Ochoa, Ayo DaSilva, Cecilia Shojaey, Teresa Van Camp, Antonia Lawson, Claudia De Luca, and Valen na Restrepo).

• To our caterer- William Mauricio and his staff. • To our prin ng- Lux Marke ng, Rene and Norma Villapando and family, Linda Policarpio, Ernie LaCambra, and Anonymous

donors. • A very special thanks to my staff (Kevin Schaffels, Leslie Reyes, Jeannie Rogers, Anisha Virgen Jesse Rodriguez, Thomas Am-

briz) for their efforts to make my installa on a memorable event • To the Priests of the parish (Fr. Gerald Osuagwu and Fr. Jonathon Meyer) for your fraternity and trusted friendship and to

Deacon Glen Heffernan and Rose my collaborators in the ministry of Word and charity • And for each of you – my parishioners – my family I hope everyone will remember the message that I wish to share as we move forward. We are all created in love. We are all created for love. That love knows no boundaries and doesn’t have any condi ons. It should be given to others because it is given to us by our God. My goal is always to bring people together and to help them realize that each creature has the spirit of God in them. Remember that God was working here before I arrived – I am simply his servant. So let us all look for what He has been doing and work together to con nue to make a difference in every day. Serve the Lord with gladness! Gratefully Yours in Jesus and Mary,

Gratefully Yours in the Lord,

-Fr. Marinello Saguin

Flor Flores, Claudia y Luis Ochoa, Ayo DaSilva, Cecilia Shojaey, Teresa Van Camp, Antonia Lawson, Claudia De Luca y Valen na Res-trepo)

-Padre Marinello Saguin
