information contained in this booklet is designed to help you order

easily and allow us to prepare for you and your guests. So relax, cheer

the Terps, and enjoy the best in Terrapin hospitality.

PLACINGYOURORDERSuite RepresentativeThe identified Suite Representative is the person authorized to placeorders, invoice, talk with the Suite Attendants, share necessary informationwith guests, and tell us about any special arrangements for your suite. Wewill inform the Suite Representative about special events and menus. Anyquestions for us should come through the Suite Representative.

How to OrderIn order to meet all of your food and beverage requirements, your ordershould be placed in advance. Orders placed in advance allow for a greaterselection for you and your guests.

Advance Order Deadlines:For Saturday games – by 3pm TuesdayFor Monday games – by 3pm Wednesday

Please place your advance order online through our web-based orderingsystem (http://suites.umd.edu). Log in to place orders and access previousand future game orders. Any questions or problems with your order can bedirected to the Terptations at Tyser Tower Office by email([email protected]).

Delivery and ServiceFood will be delivered throughout the game at the times you specify whenyou place your order. If you do not specify a time, your food will bedelivered approximately 60 minutes before game time. Suite attendantswill be stationed outside of your suite throughout the game to ensure thateverything is delivered and that any additional needs are met.

Standing OrdersFood and beverages are available as a standing order. Just let us knowwhat you’d like and we’ll deliver that order to your suite every time. Emailus your order with the notation "standing order" and we'll call you back toconfirm the details.

Game Day OrdersA Suite Attendant will be standing by to receive game day orders. Gameday orders are supplements to advance orders and the menu is limited tothose items easily prepared and served during the event. Allow 45 minutesfor delivery. Food or beverages ordered during the event require eithercredit card payment at the time of order or a pre-authorized card on file.

Payment ArrangementsSuite Holders will be asked to have a credit card number or University FRSnumber on file with the Terptations at Tyser Tower Office. Invoices must bepaid prior to the event. Game day orders are payable at the time the order isplaced.

Credit cards acceptable for payment:American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa

Service Charge and Sales TaxFood and non-alcoholic beverages are subject to 6% sales tax. Alcoholicbeverages are subject to 9% sales tax. A 15% service charge will be addedto advance orders. A 22% service charge will be added to game day orders.

Cancellation PolicyIn the event you need to cancel an order, please do so at least two businessdays before the event. Due to costs incurred, orders cancelled less thantwo business days before the event will be charged at 50% of the invoiceprice.

Food and Beverage ServiceThe University of Maryland policy requires that Suite Holders and guests useTerptations at Tyser Tower for food and beverage service in the suite. Foodand beverages purchased elsewhere in Capital One Field at Byrd Stadiumare not permitted in Tyser Tower, and food or beverages served in TyserTower may not be removed from Tyser Tower. Any food or beveragesbrought into Tyser Tower are subject to confiscation.

The University of Maryland Athletics Council has developed the followingpolicies for the safe service of alcoholic beverages in Tyser Tower.

Alcoholic beverages may be obtained through Terptations at Tyser Towerand cannot be otherwise brought into or removed from Tyser Tower. Anyalcoholic beverages brought into Tyser Tower are subject to confiscation.

Alcohol can be ordered only if food is also ordered for the suite. No suitewill be sold alcohol without a food purchase for that game.

All alcohol will be kept in a locked cabinet or refrigerator until the SuiteRepresentative contacts the Suite Attendant who will unlock it. Orders foralcohol can be placed until the end of the third quarter. Alcohol may notbe removed from the suites at the conclusion of the game.

Alcohol must be poured into cups provided in the suite and may not at anytime be consumed from cans or bottles.

The minimum drinking age in the state of Maryland is 21 years of age. EachSuite Holder is responsible for monitoring and controlling the service andconsumption of alcohol within his/her Suite. The University’s alcoholicbeverage control officials and the suite attendants are authorized to enterthe suite to check identification and monitor alcohol consumption.

The University of Maryland assumes no responsibility for the service,possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the suite. Underagedrinking and the possession or use of alcohol in any manner contrary to law isprohibited. These rules and regulations apply to Suite Holders and occupantsof the suite regardless of whether the Suite Holder is present in the suite.

GUIDELINESAccessYou and your guests are able to access your suite 1.5 hours prior to kick-offtime, and can remain 1 hour after the end of the game.

AlcoholPersons under 21 years of age are not permitted to purchase or consumealcoholic beverages. We are dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyableexperience for all of your guests. We require the Suite Holder or theirrepresentative to monitor and control alcohol consumption in the suite. Allbeverages must be placed in the cups provided in the suite.

Game Day AtmosphereAll Suite Holders and guests are requested to respect the rights of otherSuite Holders and ensure that all activities conducted in the suite area andexterior seating are done in a thoughtful and courteous manner.

Suite Holders agree to maintain the suite in good condition and toreimburse the University of Maryland Athletics Department for any damagedone to the suite other than ordinary wear and tear.

Game Day Suite ContactFor corporate suites or suites held by more than one individual, the SuiteRepresentative should designate a game-day host who will acceptresponsibility for the activities within the suite for that particular game.This host should make him or herself known to the Suite Attendant.

Suite Guest Passes must be presented to the Terp Host for entry into TyserTower. When leaving Tyser Tower, a Suite “return ticket” will be issued.Guests will be required to present both the “return ticket” and the SuiteGuest Pass to gain re-entry into Tyser Tower.

SecurityAny time you leave your suite, please be sure to remove all personalproperty or secure items in the locked cabinet provided for Suite Holders.Unfortunately, Maryland Athletics cannot be responsible for any misplacedproperty, equipment, or other articles left unattended. Unsecured itemsfound in the suite will be forwarded to Fan Assistance Lost and Found.

If there is inclement weather where an evacuation is imminent or otheremergency situations, Suite Holders and guests should remain in theirsuites until further notification from the game operations staff.

How do I enter the stadium?There is a VIP Suite and Mezzanineticket holders entrance at Gate H,located on the southwest side ofCapital One Field at Byrd Stadium.You may also present your suiteticket at any other stadium entranceexcept for Student Gate C.

How do I get to my Suite?There are four elevators (one in theWest Tower, one in the East Tower,and two in the Center Tower) to takeyou from the stadium concourse tothe level of your Suite. You shoulduse the elevator of theappropriate tower of your suite, asidentified on the suite ticket.

Please note Elevator 4 will be heldbriefly for game operations staff toescort visiting and home footballcoaches from their locations in TyserTower to their locker rooms at half-time and at the end of the game.Other elevators and stairs will not beaffected during this time.

What time do the Suitesopen and close?The suites open 1.5 hours beforekick off and will remain open until 1hour after the end of the game.

When will my suite be opened?Suites will be unlocked and available1.5 hours prior to the game. A TerpHost will be on duty in the areaoutside of your suite.

What other areas of Tyser Tower canI access with my suite ticket?You may access levels two throughfour in Tyser Tower, however to enteranother suite or the President’s Suite,you must have a guest pass or suiteticket for that suite, or permission ofthe suite holder.

May I take alcoholic beveragesoutside of my suite area?No, alcohol may not be removedfrom the suite at any time. Anyremaining alcoholic beverages atclosing time will be secured in yoursuite.

How do I report a problemon game day?Game day contact information willbe provided in each suite.

Can I personalize my Suite?There is designated wall space inyour Suite for your personal signage,banner or decorations. You cancontact Beth Deskins, suite servicescoordinator, to arrange to have yourpersonal touches installed. Otherthan the designated space, youcannot install or hang any items onthe walls of the suite. Should youdesire to bring furniture into yoursuite, please contact Beth Deskins toarrange for approval from the facilitycoordinator. Permanent alterationssuch as wallpaper or changing thepaint, carpeting, cabinets,countertops or lighting fixtures areprohibited.

Are children allowed in the Suites?Yes, children are a part of theMaryland Athletics experience andare welcome in the suite andcommon areas. Please note thatchildren must be supervised at alltimes. A suite game ticket isrequired for all individuals over 2years old. Children age 2 andunder are NOT required to have agame/suite ticket in order to enterthe stadium. However, they mustbe seated on a parent or guardian'slap and not interfere with thesightlines of others.

Can I place a special order that isnot on the menu for a specialoccasion?Special catering arrangements canbe made by contacting Terptationsat Tyser Tower(phone: 240-462-9181 oremail: [email protected]).

Can I smoke in my Suite?Smoking is prohibited in the outsidestadium seating area and thelounge areas of the suites, as wellas any inside area of the suitetower. Cigarette smoking ispermitted on the outside terracesthat face the stadium concourse,located on the second floor.

What if I forget my cabinet key ongame day?That’s not a problem. Simply informthe Suite Services Coordinator whowill unlock and lock your cabinet foryou.

Does a suite guest pass allow entryinto the stadium?No. Each Suite Holder receivesgame tickets and suite guestpasses.

When will my suite be cleaned?Housekeeping will remove garbageperiodically during the game. Notifyyour suite attendant for servicesneeded. Following every game, thesuite is fully cleaned byhousekeeping staff. Regularservicing includes dusting,vacuuming, and garbage removal.Please report any damages to thesuite services coordinator.

Can I distribute my company’sadvertisements and brochures withinTyser Tower?Distribution of advertisements,solicitations and canvassing withinyour suite, among the suite owner’sinvited guests is permissible.Distribution of these items in thepublic areas of Tyser Tower and thestadium is prohibited.
