hello, there

I USED TO BE AFRAID of typography (SOMETIMES I STILL AM). I always thought it was just was a place for scary perfectionists and scholars that understood every rule written about lettering. I had to break that thought while I was in college! I was to broke to purchase new and beautiful fonts, so I was forced to face my fears and draw my own.

The first font I sold was Strands. Three years prior, I was designing a bag for a contest held by Strands book store in NYC. I decided to draw out the word Strands using strands of string. The concept didn't win the contest, but became an odd obsession for me. I decided to draw out all the characters, it was therapeutic. I sat on the font from 2007 to 2010 and then had a light bulb moment (BECAUSE ONLY OPRAH CAN HAVE "AHA!" MOMENTS), I should sell this! I taught myself to program fonts, made a ton of mistakes, learned from them and now I have over a dozen quirky fonts for sale.
