    By Air and Sea Air Asia plane to Cebu + Super Ferry to Ormoc

    Air Asia plane to Cebu + Gothong Shipping Lines to

    Tacloban

    In the first few days of the relief operations, the most effective

    route (fastest delivery) was through INAEDs chartered plane to

    Ormoc. Then the goods were transferred to a helicopter to

    Tacloban and dropped in the grandstand oval very near the Divine

    Word Hospital of the Benedictine Sisters.

    Air Asia, however, has flown the most number of boxes of relief

    goods via Cebu. Gothong Shipping and 2GO Super Shuttle made

    the heaviest shipments by sea.

    The biggest challenge of

    the first phase of reliefoperations was

    transporting the goods

    and supplies to Tacloban

    and Ormoc. On severaloccasions loading,

    transferring, monitoring

    and receiving the goods in

    Cebu and shipping them

    to Tacloban was a day and

    night round-the-clock

    work.

    OF RELIEF OPERATIONS

    College Outreach Center are still in the process

    of organizing the evaluation phase of the relief

    operations.

    The ISAC Director is scheduled to go to

    Tacloban to conduct the evaluation of the relief

    distribution.
